Teri was a Licensed Professional Counselor with her Master of Arts in Biblical counseling from Dallas Theological Seminary for 20 years. She also holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Houston. Teri began her counseling career as an intern at the Minirth clinic in 1998, as an assistant to Dr. Frank Minirth. Teri's philosophy and theory of helping is to address the whole person: Spirit, Soul, and Body. It is her preference to address both the spiritual and the psychological needs of her clients. She believes Jesus Christ is the foundation of her labors together in helping mode. She believes it is through His power that healing occurs through whatever method He chooses and leads us through in consulting or coaching. Her guidelines for creating a treatment plan incorporate an approach to takes into account the spiritual, psychological, emotional, social, and biological dimensions of the whole person.
Teri actively pursues her faith in Jesus Christ both personally and professionally. She deeply believes in Matthew 6:33 which says, “But seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness…. and all these things shall be added.” In other words, seek God and His Word FIRST. That is how she does her counseling. What does God have to say about the issue at hand?
Teri loves to study and teach the Word of God in any setting. Some of her favorite settings are: one-on-one bible studies, conferences, retreats, and Freedom Sessions.
Teri and her husband, Mike, reside in Fort Worth, Texas. She is the mother of seven grown children, ( 3 sons and 1 daughter) 3 daughters-in-love AND six adorable grandchildren (her crowning glory)!!
Simply put, Teri’s passions are for the Lord, family and people.
